Je to německá techno formace. Její styl se po celou dobu existence vyvíjel. Nedá se zdaleka říci že, styl je úplně konečný, Scooter prostě rád překvapuje a tím se dostává do velké popularity už 12let. To je taky důkazem toho, že jejich fanoušci jsou rozmanité věkové kategorie. V současné době tvoří Scooter trio H.P Baxxter (Hans Peter Geerdes), Rick J. Jordan (Hendrik Standler) a Michael Simon H.P a Rick byli vždycky nezbytnou součástí Scooter, Michael Simon však až od srpna 2006. Scooter měnil složení kapely už čtyřikrát:
1994-1998 (Feeris Bueller)
1998-2002 (Axel Coon)
2002-2006 (Jay Frog)
2006...? (Michael Simon)
V roce 1986 se přes inzerát v Hanoveru potkal H.P s Rickem a vytvořili syntetizátorovou skupini Celebrante The Nun. V Celebrante The Nun figurovala i H.P sestra. od roku 1988 do roku 1991 vydali 5 singlů a 2 alba. Jejich singly se dostávají mezi Top 5 tanečních singlů v USA.
